Recent and Upcoming HOPE Meetings and Events

HOPE has three processes in its annual cycle to faithfully and successfully respond to the call to do justice. The Listening Process engages members and neighbors in one-to-one or small group conversations to hear people’s life stories, build justice ministry networks, and strengthen relationships. The process culminates at the Annual Convention where member congregations vote to prioritize identified community problems for research and action.

The Research to Action Process engages leaders in research committees to better understand the prioritized community problems and to identify potential long-term solutions to tackle the problems or parts of the problems. At the Rally, leaders from member congregations vote to approve action recommendations from issue research committees. The Nehemiah Action uses the power of our united numbers to gain commitments from decision makers who have the ability to implement the solutions.

The Investment Drive Process is kicked off at a Justice Ministry Celebration to build ownership and the capacity of the organization by telling the story of HOPE to members and friends, as well as building relationships of mutual respect with business leaders.
